Father of three. Children's book author. And still figuring it all out, just like you.
I started Parents Helping Kids because I believe that the way we show up for our children matters more than we realize. The words we use, the beliefs we model, the confidence we help them build. All of it shapes who they become. And I wanted to create a space where parents could come together around that idea.
The Books
I write children's books that carry big messages in simple stories. Books about self-belief, identity, and helping kids understand how powerful they really are. Also, some will be fun with a simple message that parents and kids will connect with.
My first book, I Am Karl, is a story about a young pup discovering the strength in himself. Through the help of Super Bailey and the “superpower” of “I AM,” Karl learns to believe in himself no matter how “noisy” the world is. And there's more on the way.
These aren't textbooks or parenting manuals. They're fun and meaningful stories you can read with your kids that open the door to real conversations about confidence, self-love, and believing in yourself.
The Blog
This is where I share what I'm learning along the way. Honest thoughts on parenting, lessons I've picked up from my own experience as a dad, and ideas that might help you connect with your kids on a deeper level. No clinical advice. No pretending to have all the answers. Just one parent talking to another.
The Community
Here's what I've come to believe: it doesn't matter if you're a brand new parent with a toddler or you've got teenagers who think they know everything. It is never too late to start building positive belief systems in yourself and letting your kids see that. When they watch you grow, they learn that growth is normal. When they see you believing in yourself, they start believing in themselves too.
That's what Parents Helping Kids is all about. A community of parents who are choosing to be intentional about the example they set and the foundation they help their kids build.
